Levano Capital is a San Francisco Bay Area-based investment firm structured around deal-by-deal vehicles rather than a traditional blind-pool fund. Our founding partners put personal capital into the deal that started Levano - before there was a fund, and before any LP was asked to join. Our relationships are anchored in Asia Pacific and extend well beyond it: access and opportunity, not a boundary we work around.
Nicole's two decades in banking began in a business banking advisory capacity, working directly with clients, before she moved into leadership. She spent her final seven to eight years at a ~$100B US institution, where she built and ran a full community banking vertical for the enterprise: sales (business banking and SBA lending), data innovation, secondary markets, and regulatory, all at once, not sequentially, before leaving the banking industry altogether. Hands-on rather than strategy-only, she personally launched and revitalized lines of business across the enterprise and led the teams behind each one, with Asia Pacific ties of her own running alongside it. She holds a Wharton certificate in private equity and now works as an operating partner to founders and investors, stepping in exactly where growth, operations, and strategy stop working together. At Levano she owns the operational infrastructure: entity formation, fund structure, and deal origination.
Two decades as a Senior Private Wealth Advisor put Yvonne inside the most consequential financial decisions of executives, entrepreneurs, and families who demand discretion above everything else, guiding them through IPOs, acquisitions, and other liquidity moments across every market cycle. That built the kind of trust that takes years to earn and a moment to lose. She moves between boardrooms and first conversations with equal ease, from founders to global family offices managing decades of accumulated wealth, across Asia Pacific and beyond. As a personal investor in Levano's founding deal, she committed capital before asking anyone else to. At Levano she owns the investor pipeline, every relationship, every conversation, every close.
John's two decades began in wealth management, first as a team analyst, then as a financial advisor, before an institutional hedge fund, where he traded equities and fixed income across a range of strategies. He later specialized as an analyst covering the industrials sector, completing his MBA along the way. That range carried him into one of South Korea's largest asset managers, with roughly $400 billion in assets under management at the time, where he helped build its Los Angeles office and later became its Chief Compliance Officer. He went on to lead corporate finance for a mobile gaming company through a spin-off, helping it scale from 29 to 85 people and to over $100 million in revenue across multiple transactions during his tenure. Fluent in Korean, he gives Levano a second bridge into Asia Pacific alongside Yvonne. At Levano he leads fund management and compliance end to end.
A track record building and taking companies public across EV, life sciences, and deep tech ventures spanning Asia Pacific, the US, and beyond. A former research scientist and executive coach to global CEOs and boards, he brings technical depth and cross-sector range to Levano's sourcing, diligence, and strategy.
Our focus is on solving problems that matter in the real world, whether the solution is physical infrastructure or the digital tools built to serve it. That's the headline of our thesis, not a secondary theme.
We use technology, including AI, to sharpen how we evaluate opportunities. It informs our judgment; it never replaces it.
Our network across the US and Asia Pacific gives us early, direct access to opportunities, built on relationships, not cold outreach.
Infrastructure that unlocks new industries. AI and deep tech that make physical systems smarter, without becoming the whole pitch. Mobility retiring a century of carbon defaults. Life sciences extending how long and how well people live.
"Technology sharpens our judgment. It never replaces it."
